Wow!!!

Gretsch Electromatic G5120 with Bigsby B6 Vibrato tailpiece. Orange.

I couldn’t pass up the deal I found on eBay. Barely used, 1 owner only, non-smoker, no scratches, dings or other imperfections. In other words, it’s practically brand new!!! Also, it comes with a super Gator locking hard case.

After borrowing my good friend Hutto’s beautiful red G5120, I just had to have one for myself. It has that magical Gretsch sound…both acoustically or plugged in to a nice tube amp. Look out Duane and Chet, here I come!

Gonna have to order a clear pick guard soon. Maybe even try replacing both Humbuckers w/ TV Jones models. I’m thinking about the Super’Tron in the neck position and the TV Classic Plus in the bridge position.

Primus at Iron City

Great sold-out show at Iron City by Primus (with no opening band!). Marion and I had a reserved table centered on balcony. The sound was excellent. Nice and clear kids and highs without the boomy bass that usually appears at shows these days.
